These distinctive-sounding cars, from the powerful De Tomaso Pantera of the Hôtel du Forum to the modest R5 of designer Autheman, were part of the Arles folklore of the 1980s.
For this autumn exhibition at CARGO DE NUIT, Bruno Heitz presents linocuts of fifteen of these vehicles. Accompanying the drawings, short texts evoke the personalities of their drivers, taking us back to the accident-prone days before demerit points, speed cameras and pedestrianized streets.
