Yoland Simon, a writer from Le Havre, has maintained an ongoing correspondence with Annie Ernaux, whose exemplary career he has long followed.
In this talk, he will show that for this great writer, it is impossible to separate her writing from her life and that of others, since every existence is part of a shared culture and the fabric of a collective history evoked with moving empathy.
