The City of Saint-Tropez is organising the first music and theatre festival "La Moutte entre en scène" from 20 to 24 August 2023. Five concerts and shows at moderate prices with renowned artists such as Philippe Caubère and Chimène Badi.
Playing "les Lettres de mon moulin" as if I had thought them up, imagined them. As if I had remembered them. As if I had lived them.
I would like to entertain and touch the spectators, whatever their age and condition, by immersing them in this world that is both funny and cruel, romantic and fantastic, as if they were entering a film. I will play Alphonse Daudet, the narrator, as well as all his characters: the goat, the wolf, the mule, even the priest of Cucugnan and the Good Lord himself...! Not forgetting the two old men from the village of Eyguières, the "Sémillante" on the run off the Straits of Bonifacio or the little Provençal shepherd in love with his masters' daughter, the beautiful Stéphanette.
With this triptych I am once again affirming my vocation and my passion for a truly popular theatre for which these texts, burlesque and serious, seem to have been written.
