The "Plasticités de l'image" exhibition showcases work by 2025 graduates of the École nationale supérieure de la photographie.
Spread over two prestigious sites emblematic of Arles' heritage - the Hôtel Quiqueran de Beaujeu, home to the Arles Créative association, and the Hôtel Blain, home to the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation - this presentation aims to show the public a wide range of photographic practices and approaches explored by students during their studies at the School of Photography. To highlight the diversity, originality and complementarity of these works, the ENSP has entrusted the curatorial responsibility to Léa Bismuth who, as an art critic, researcher, curator and president of the diploma jury, has been able to follow their approaches and intentions closely.
The result is an exhibition structured around three main themes - Realisms, Speculations and Possibilities - offering a panorama of the contemporary photographic practices explored by these young artists: from video to installation, from traditional techniques to digital innovations.
This project benefits from the invaluable support of the Neuflize OBC Corporate Foundation and Sony; as well as the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation, Arles Créative and Mosaicc, who have made their spaces available.
