The 80th anniversary of the Liberation of La Londe will be celebrated in style on Saturday 17 August. Commemorative ceremonies will be held in front of the Monument aux Morts, on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville, followed by a parade of World War II vehicles from Provence 44, accompanied by emergency vehicles from the CCFF, the Police Municipale and the Sapeurs-Pompiers. A cocktail reception and concert will be held on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville from 7.15pm. Fireworks at 10pm followed by the Liberation Ball with the Mephisto orchestra, from 10.30pm on the Place Georges-Gras in Port Miramar.
