They're everywhere and we're around them all the time. At the same time, they are almost invisible and some people are very apprehensive about them. Yet by observing the tiny, the very small, a whole universe opens up to children. If we welcome them with confidence and let them run across our hands, we realise that they are incredibly beautiful, and our archaic fears disappear. We discover that they are remarkable for their shapes, colours and smells, and we learn to identify them. In this way, we'll be able to take them off our feet and put them in our hands.
