LUMA Arles / EBB en collaboration avec Tony Oursler : Me Time #2 – Sibyl

Initiated by Neïl Beloufa, EBB invites artists, writers and filmmakers to experiment with the technologies shaping our digital lives in the age of the attention economy.

Along a network of digital and physical infrastructures in the Parc des Ateliers and La Tour, stories unfold and transform the visit to LUMA Arles into a narrative journey led by visitors. Me Time leads to an interactive, immersive projection room displaying personalized media that manifest the viewer's imagination in unpredictable ways.

As part of a long-term investigation into the use of innovation in the service of artists' vision, this initiative introduces technologies such as generative AI, data privacy management, recommendation algorithms and information personalization, making them accessible and actionable. In the form of a playful experiment, this project offers a space for ongoing experimental cultural production, and a creative use of technology directed by the artists themselves.

Tony Oursler: Sibyl

For this second edition, Tony Oursler (b. 1957, USA) presents Sibyl, a constantly evolving oracle that fuses futuristic predictions, conspiracy theories and Provençal mythologies. Halfway between arcade game and strange apparition, this ghostly seer declaims tailor-made predictions, oscillating between current scientific speculation and historical occult phenomena. Exploiting the capacity of artificial intelligence to generate these complex, intertwined narratives, Oursler critically examines the role of technology in the construction of contemporary belief systems, magical thinking and their aesthetic codes.
