Mae Defays Maë Defays' music navigates the waves of jazz and soul. A songwriter, composer, singer and guitarist, born into a family of artists somewhere between Europe and the Caribbean, nourished by music and cinema, she carries and brings us her poetry without borders. In A deeper ocean, she explores the depths of the ocean and the human soul. Blending her compositions with shimmering colours, she enchants French, English and Creole. A magnificent musician, she recounts nature and its fragile beauty. The melodies and words invite us to listen to the world, our world, its wonders and its wounds. Maë Defays' music is first and foremost a voice. An ethereal, crystal-clear voice, soft and deep, which rises and transports us; a breeze whirling around an intense, perfectly balanced live quintet, which will blow far and wide... Let yourself be carried away by the flow of a delightful sensory journey. Line-up: – Maë DEFAYS (vocals, guitar), Alex MONFORT (keyboards), Tao EHRLICH (drums), Dee HUANG (guitar, backing vocals), Denis PITALUA (bass) + Agnès SOM (backing vocals) Laura Anglade Originally from Aveyron in the south of France, jazz singer Laura Anglade now lives in Brooklyn and grew up in the United States and Canada. Her performances reflect her roots: they are characterised by a rich simplicity, a connection to the past, and an ability to find wonder in everyday moments. Laura brings clarity and depth to interpretations inspired by legendary voices such as Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. An internationally renowned artist, Laura captivates her audience with her innate talent as a storyteller. Her conversational style bridges the gap between singer and listener, making every performance intimate and personal. Her artistic talent has taken her to prestigious venues, notably the Olympia in Paris, and she has also toured with artists such as Melody Gardot and Gregory Porter. Laura’s third album, Get Out of Town, released in 2025, was very well received, enabling her audience to grow exponentially. Banksia trio Takashi Sugawa (bass), Masaki Hayashi (piano) and Shun Ishiwaka (drums) Banksia Trio, composed of three of Tokyo's most sought-after musicians, is considered one of the most dynamic and acclaimed ensembles on the contemporary Japanese jazz scene. Taking its name from an Australian plant that thrives on fire, the trio is famous for its blend of explosive improvisation and lyrical beauty. Since its inception in 2017, the group, with its unique and innovative sound, has released four acclaimed albums, including MASKS and a live recording, which showcase a deep musical dialogue and ever-evolving soundscapes. In 2025, it completed its first Australian tour, marked by sold-out concerts at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
