For its end-of-year 2025 exhibition, the Eva Vautier gallery is organizing a group exhibition bringing together 30 artists around the tyranny of benevolence that (almost) all inhabits us during this time of year.
Group Exhibition
THANK YOU, BUT NO THANK YOU
Opening on Friday, December 12 at 6 p.m.
From December 13, 2025 to January 31, 2026
With: BEN, Mona Barbagli, Tom Barbagli, Benoît Barbagli Vautier, Baptiste César, Marc Chevalier, Yosef Joseph Dadoune, Nicolas Daubanes, Kristof Everart, Aimée Fleury, Gregory Forstner, Jacqueline Gainon, Lucille Jallot, Natacha Lesueur, Benoît Mazzer, Lukas Meir, Gilles Miquelis, Frédérique Nalbandian, Gérald Panighi, François Paris, Maxime Parodi, Charlotte Pringuey-Cessac, Florian Pugnaire, Caroline Rivalan, Florian Schönerstedt, Simone Simon, Jeanne Susplugas, Clémentine Taupin, Agnès Vitani, Anne-Laure Wuillai
This exhibition humorously explores our complex relationship with gifts During this festive season, why do we feel compelled to give our mother-in-law a gift when we've spent the whole year bickering? How can we mask our disappointment with a present we already know will be resold as early as January?
The gallery artists and a few guests explore this ambivalence through works that question our consumer rituals, our social conventions, and the sincerity of our generous impulses. Between irony and tenderness, their works offer a unique perspective on these moments where politeness and authenticity coexist in a precarious balance.
