MOURAD BENHAMMOU AND HIS SOULFUL DRUMBS
After directing the Jazzworkers and touring for some fifteen years in France and abroad with this hard bop quintet, here is drummer Mourad Benhammou's new project. Continuing in the spirit of hard bop, with a rather original and inspiring blend of organ and vibraphone, we plunge into the world of organist "Brother" Jack McDuff, who in the 60s was the 1st employer of a young, little-known guitarist at the time, George Benson.
The repertoire includes several originals and numerous compositions by Jack McDuff, Les McCann and Harold Ousley: Shadow dancer, haitian lady, Rock a bye, scram, blues & tonic, soul woman, greasy drums, my three sons...
Maximum room capacity: 977 people
