Under the direction of Yutaka Sado, the Orchestre National de France, the musical formation of Radio France, returns to the Salins stage for a program in the colors of Spain.
Accompanied by Thibaut Garcia, a classical guitarist awarded at the 2019 Victoires de la Musique, the musicians of the National will perform five pieces by composers inspired by Iberia.
The Japanese conductor chooses pieces evocative of Spain from the repertoire of Georges Bizet, Joaquín Rodrigo, and Maria Rodrigo, as well as from the Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, to deliver varied renditions: the idealized Capriccio, designed to "shine with the virtuosity of its orchestral color," says Rimsky-Korsakov; the more earthy and bloody version, by Bizet with his Carmen; and finally, Rodrigo and his Concerto, played by Thibaut Garcia, evoke the fragrance of magnolias, birdsong, and trickling fountains. A lively program, certainly full of character!
Before the show, meet journalist Max Dozolme.
Reservations open on Tuesday, June 10th at 1 p.m. with the purchase of Fleur de Sel and Grain de Sel loyalty cards. Tickets can be purchased without loyalty cards on Tuesday, August 26th at 1 p.m.
