A true institution in the Vaucluse, the Velleron farmers' market allows local producers to present their fruits, vegetables, cheeses and artisanal specialties.
THE AGRICULTURAL MARKET
Daily in summer, the Velleron agricultural market takes place three times a week during the other seasons.
More than 150 exhibitors offer fruits, vegetables, cheeses, oils, cold cuts, condiments and many other culinary specialties from the Provencal region. Throughout the seasons, the stalls are full of strawberries from Velleron, melons from Cavaillon, apricots and peaches, zucchini, eggplant, white asparagus, green or black olives, spices...
THE STRAWBERRY OF VELLERON
Velleron is located in a particularly fertile agricultural plain, watered by rivers and irrigation canals, and bathed by the sun of the Comtat Venaissin. The village is famous for its production of strawberries, with a sweet and sour taste. Every year in spring, the Strawberry Festival brings together producers and amateurs.
