James, a traveling penguin from the South Pole, and Vladimir, a funny bear from the North Pole, meet on the Arctic ice floe. As apprentice astronomers, they wonder why night is so long at both poles of the Earth. An extraordinary scientific adventure takes them from building an observatory to constructing a makeshift spaceship. On a journey around the Earth and on to Mars and Saturn, they'll answer their questions and discover that the planets have things in common, but also some differences!

> "From the Earth to the Universe" (ages 10 and up) - 60 minutes: Produced by the European Southern Observatory, this show takes you on a fascinating journey through time and space. Journey through time to discover how man's perception of our Universe and our place in it has evolved over the centuries. But also a journey through space, from the familiar stars of our solar system to the farthest reaches of the Universe, with the galaxy clusters that are its largest structures.
