Leaving from the Eden municipal cinema, the show then wends its way through the hills via the Château de Montauban and along the mill path.
This show is built around memories taken from "LA GLOIRE DE MON PÈRE".
The memories unfold throughout the walk, interspersed with mythical scenes from Marcel Pagnol's cinematic work, and the story unfolds as the walk progresses.
Each character is symbolised by a few strong costume elements added to a neutral costume base (for example, Monsieur Brun will just have a frock coat, hat and glasses). These few costume elements mean that changes can be made on sight, helping the show to flow smoothly.
The touching and funny way in which an adult Pagnol looks at the adventures of a child named Marcel creates situations that speak directly to us: we've all been that child's age.
Throughout the theatrical stroll, we give a glimpse into his life: a passionate man who wanted to create a cinema city in the hills.
His attachment to Marseille, its hills and its actors. A great film director and successful playwright.

In devising "Souvenirs des collines", DANS LA COUR DES GRANDS imagined how to create a link between the work of one of France's greatest playwrights, the discovery of a unique and original art form, and awareness of a nearby yet often little-known ecosystem, to create a link between theatre and nature.
