Founded in 1996, the Quatuor Diotima is now one of the most sought-after quartets in the world. It works in close collaboration with some of the greatest masters of the second half of the 20th century, such as Pierre Boulez and Helmut Lachenmann. He has commissioned or inspired the creations of some of today's most brilliant composers, including Toshio Hosokawa, Miroslav Srnka, Alberto Posadas, Mauro Lanza, Gérard Pesson, Rebecca Saunders, Misato Mochizuki and Tristan Murail. Mirroring today's music, the Diotima Quartet casts a new light on the great Romantic and modern works, in particular Beethoven, Schubert, Schoenberg, Berg and Webern, as well as Janáček, Debussy, Ravel and Bartók.
