A day to discover the fortified barrier, a World Heritage site, in the company of guide-lecturers from Briançon's Heritage Department.
Take a one-day tour of Briançon's fortified barrier! After climbing up from the Asfeld bridge, head back to the forts on the left bank for a special tour of Fort Dauphin. After a picnic break, you'll continue on to the heart of the fortifications, between Fort du Randouillet, Communication Y and Fort des Têtes, before returning to the Cité Vauban.

RDV: Porte de la Durance, Cité Vauban, Briançon.
The Porte de la Durance is located at the junction of the Rue de l'Aspirant Jan and the Rue du Pont d'Asfeld. There are two ways of getting there:
-From the Porte de Pignerol: go down the Grande Rue, then turn left onto the Rue du Pont d'Asfeld, at the so-called "middle" fountain and the "La Dahette" tobacconist's shop. Follow rue du pont 'Asfeld as far as Porte de la Durance.
-From the Porte d'Embrun: walk up to Place du Médecin Général Blanchard. Go straight across the square, past the old town hall and continue up the bends in the rue de l'Aspirant Jan to the Porte de la Durance.
The guide reserves the right to cancel or interrupt any tour if necessary for the safety of visitors.
Tours are available for groups of 2 or more.
The forts have no water or public toilets. Please bring suitable mountain clothing and footwear.
