Convibicy invites you to the screening of the documentary "Les Roues de l'Avenir" by Romain Mercieux and Charlotte Brunier to spend some quality time together and talk bikes.
Wheels of the Future
A documentary directed by Romain Mercieux and Charlotte Brunier, based on an idea by Baptiste Lemaître, Émilie Pin, Augustine Ledu, Maud Bassano and Evan Ovlaque, students at IAE Bordeaux.
Synopsis:
A stress-free city, where you feel safe, where you know your local shopkeepers. A city where you enjoy every journey.
Imagine stepping out into the street and being surprised by the smell of trees, birdsong and children playing.
LES ROUES DE L'AVENIR is the story of this new world, and invites viewers to enter it by getting on a bike.
Evan, Maud, Emilie, Augustine and Baptiste are convinced that the bicycle is a formidable engine of transition. They decide to embark on a two-wheeled journey that will take them much further than they ever thought possible.
Through the testimonies of economists, urban planners, associations, politicians and sociologists, LES ROUES DE L'AVENIR explores the different ways of putting bikes at the heart of our cities, and the impact this would have on our lives.
Running time: 1 hour 05 minutes
The screening will be followed by a discussion on the role and place of the bicycle in and around Arles - 1 month ahead of the first round of municipal elections ... then we invite you to continue the debate over a drink.
