Riva Fever: The Emblematic Event of Club Riva de France and the Riva Historical Society
"Riva Fever" is a flagship event organized by Riva Club de France and the Riva Historical Society, marking the opening of the summer season on Ascension weekend. Since 2012, this exclusive event has brought together enthusiasts and collectors of historic motorboats, offering a unique experience that combines sportiness, elegance and the timeless spirit of the 50s and 60s.

Saint-Tropez, a legendary destination, is at the heart of this event. The dynamic and convivial sailing sessions allow you to fully experience nautical performance while savouring an art of living. A highlight is the recreation of a mooring pontoon, evoking the original Riva Boat Service created in 1963 by Antoine Mercurio, Marcel Bialès and Carlo Riva. This pontoon is reserved for the fleet of magnificent mahogany Riva boats, true masterpieces of engineering and design.

For four days, participants enjoy a unique experience, punctuated by sports sailing, festive evenings and moments of conviviality. The Mediterranean atmosphere, charm and authenticity of Saint-Tropez provide an idyllic setting for celebrating the passion of Historic Rivas.

Riva Fever is much more than just a gathering of boats; it's a celebration of nautical heritage and a tribute to timeless elegance. Each edition is an invitation to plunge into the fascinating world of historic wooden Rivas, where every detail is designed to offer an exceptional experience, true to the spirit of the glorious years of yachting.

The prestige of the Riva brand owes much to its representatives on the French Riviera, particularly in Saint-Tropez, where its varnished mahogany boats became a favorite of stars and influential personalities from the 1960s to the 1980s. Saint-Tropez's reputation as a must-see summer destination quickly grew, attracting movie stars, big money and fashion designers. The Rivas, as famous as their owners, allowed the lucky ones to escape the crowds, but not the paparazzi.

The Tropezian summer became a legend, fed by the press every year. The dream machine, set in motion by films like Roger Vadim's "Et Dieu créa la femme", continues to turn. In two decades, the world has changed, but the jet-set on the port remains faithful: "one Riva, or nothing". Riva Club de France reminds us that pleasure and yachting have the same roots, offering an exploration of an era that has left a lasting mark on people's memories.

The boats are mainly visible in the port, in the mornings as they prepare to set sail between 9:30 and 10 am, or on their return from sailing between 4 and 5 pm. They can also be seen on the water, sailing in squadrons throughout the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, from Sainte-Maxime to Rayol-Canadel.
