Visit Saint-Remy, Les Baux de Provence and Arles and delve into into the history, culture, magnificent landscapes, and beautiful villages of Provence.
Through the Crau Plain, this itinerary will take you to the Grand Rhône River bank where stands the ancient city of Arles (UNESCO World Heritage).
On the footpaths of Van Gogh, you will discover the roman vestiges with the coliseum and the ancient theater, the Saint Trophime church (carved portal of 12th century), the Forum Square where stands the statue of the provencal poet Frédéric Mistral but also the hotel Dieu (former hospital) and the Van Gogh’s Café.
Late, on the road that leads you to Les Baux de Provence, you will drive near the abbey of Montmajour (10th century) and pass by Fontvieille, famous place where Alphonse Daudet found inspiration to write his letters.
Lunch on your own, in the perched village of Les Baux de Provence. Possibility to attend the light and sound show at Les Carrières de Lumières (ticket not included).
The afternoon will be spent in the Baux valley well known for its olive trees, before continuing to Saint Rémy de Provence, through the Alpilles mountains and discover its Antiques.
Provencal markets on wednesdays in Saint-Rémy de Provence and on saturdays in Arles.
Please note that on certain days, a quick drive through Aix-en-Provence to pick up and drop off passengers may be included.
