Storytelling, song and music - Refuges 2024 tour
Attracted by the mountains, and inspired by her Danish and Swedish origins, Christine wanted to pay tribute to the shepherdesses who, until the early 20th century, spent summers with their animals and each other in the Swedish alpine pastures.

The show takes the form of a poem read and told, written by the artist herself. Traditional songs and music, as well as the very specific songs of these Swedish shepherdesses "calling to the beasts" or "kulning", support the poem throughout. Christine is accompanied by her nyckelharpa, a Swedish instrument, a shruttibox, a saami drum and a "clarine" bell.

This show is for all audiences, and is particularly suited to outdoor stages and mountain locations for the inspiration and beauty of the natural setting, but also to cultural centers such as media libraries for the cultural and historical aspect, or to churches and chapels which naturally possess luminous acoustics.
