The cultural department is offering an eclectic and colourful concert combining scholarly repertoire and popular music at the Alpilium on Saturday 25 April at 7pm.
"Philippe Mouratoglou, guitarist, improviser and composer, will be performing emblematic works from the great Italian and Argentinian repertoires, as well as featuring his partner, soprano Ariane Wohlhuter, in Schubert Lieder and popular Spanish songs.
The vitality, openness and percussive rhythm brought to the voice by the unusual sounds of the guitar will surprise and, above all, seduce the audience!
Philippe Mouratoglou's talent lies in getting the guitar out of the paradox of being one of the most frequently played instruments, but one that is rarely heard in classical music concert halls."
