Join the Horizons Mountain Office team to learn all about the evolution and exploitation of glaciers through a variety of themes:

the history of the Meije
skiing and mountaineering
the construction of the cable car
Session organization:
MORNING
Meet at 9:45 a.m. at the intermediate station (we will meet you outside the station / at the Horizons Mountain Office banner): Allow 20 minutes for the ascent (tickets depart by 9:20 a.m. at the latest).
First part with themes on:
- History of tourism, the Meije (mountaineering).
- The different types of visible glaciers
Approximately 1 hour
Then climb to 3200 m with the cable car cabins. Part Two
- Evolution and Use of Glaciers
- Climate Concept
- History of the Cable Car and Skiing
- 360° Panorama
Approximately 1 hour
Dispersal around 12:45 p.m.
AFTERNOON
Meet at 1:45 p.m. at the 3,200 m arrival station (we will meet you outside the station / Montagne Horizons Office banner). Allow 45 minutes for the ascent (ticket desks will leave by 1:00 p.m. at the latest).

Dispersal around 4:45 p.m.
Private sessions are available for groups of at least 12 participants.
Please bring a warm blanket (light sweater), a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
The reservation will only be confirmed by mobile (call or text) or email from the Montagne Horizons office.
Reservations must be made no later than 48 hours before the desired time slot.
Payment is only made at the Meije cable car ticket offices.
Reservations are personal.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the time slot will either be rescheduled within the week or canceled.
If you cancel, please notify us no later than 36 hours before your time slot.
