Coincidentally, this year the La Ciotat station is taking part in the Fête du Sport et du Nautisme organised by La Ciotat Town Hall to mark National Lifeboat Day 2023.
The La Ciotat station of the national lifeboat society is expecting a large number of you to come and support it and talk to the station's volunteers, who will be on hand all day.
The programme for the day includes
a shop stand selling Les Sauveteurs en Mer brand clothing and accessories,
entertainment throughout the day, including the presence of Jax Parroh, the French lookalike of Jack Sparrow,
30-minute workshops on a number of themes: introduction to first aid, seamanship (knots), safety and survival at sea, etc,
rescue demonstration and life raft percussion.
As part of the Fête du Sport et du Nautisme (sports and water sports festival), there will also be a wide range of activities focusing on sport, health and well-being on the same day.
On 25 June, from 9am to 12pm, you can also visit the shop stand at the market in the old port.
