Labelled "Terres de Jeux 2024", Vaucluse is a "Département" stage of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. That's why the torch relay will pass through many of the department's sites.
"Vaucluse takes to the Games", bringing the magic of the Olympic Games closer to the people of Vaucluse. The relay will start in Colorado Provençal, followed by Apt and l'isle-sur-la-Sorgue in the morning. At the summit of Mont Ventoux, the effort continues in the middle of the day. Finally, to reach Avignon for the cauldron lighting ceremony, the flame will pass through the Théâtre Antique d'Orange and Sorgues.
