On the quayside at the Marina, by the sea, Port-de-Bouc’s sardine festival marks the start of the summer. Originating here, it is said that this type of festival is frequently imitated by never equalled. Founded almost 20 years ago, this culinary festival has echoes throughout Provence and beyond. People come from all over France to experience the hospitality and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The dishes come from all around the Mediterranean, grilled fish (starting with freshly caught sardines from the local fish market) to typical Mediterranean fare. Those who love dancing will find an event taking place every evening. There are rides and games for the younger family members. Evenings are always fun here.
