We choose what we eat, so why not what we see? With this question in mind, the Collectionneurs wanted to take advantage of the undeniable parallel between a waiter and his customer and that between an actor and his spectator.
The challenge: to be able to play any role according to the wishes of the audience, changing costumes, props and time very quickly.
In a restaurant, the service has to be at least as good as the food. At Théâtre à la carte, it's the same thing. As a result, particular importance is attached to the welcome and transitions to ensure that the spectator/client is always immersed in the entertainment. The inter-scene texts have been conceived and worked on as a show in their own right, with numerous spoonerisms, puns, slips of the tongue and other comic effects inspired by the world of Raymond Devos or Stéphane de Groodt, to complement the improvisation.
