12 years after the release of her bestseller, Delphine de Vigan has agreed to have it adapted for the stage. With Comédie-Française member Elsa Lepoivre, she reveals the story of Lucile, her mother. A story as unique as it is universal.
After her mother's suicide, Delphine de Vigan set out to understand her better. She questioned her brothers and sisters, and collected writings and photos to create a story that shocked her readers. In this one-woman show, Elsa Lepoivre interprets fragments of the novel. We discover family dramas and her mother's bipolarity. Dressed all in blue, in an atmosphere of chiaroscuro, she delivers her words as accurately as possible, in order to share with the audience the emotion she felt on reading this work.
