Ulysee

This is one of choreographer Jean-Claude Galotta's cult works. Created 45 years ago, it has been performed over and over again, and Josette Baïz herself danced it at its premiere in 1982. A memory and experience that the choreographer and director of Compagnie Grenade was keen to pass on. The version she delivers is out of the ordinary, full of audacity and singularity, youthful and light-hearted. For this Ulysses is danced by very young performers from her troupe, aged 11 to 13. Unprejudiced and unpretentious, this graceful yet incredibly professional corps de ballet throws itself wholeheartedly into Homer's epic. With panache and energy, the troupe traverses the 24 sections of this Odyssey with a fierce and contagious spirit. Proving that Ulysses is a legend in dance too!
