The fortifications of Briançon are hosting two stages of the Mountain Running World Cup.
This is the second time that this international sporting event has come to Briançon, through the Vauban Mountain Trail and the Kilomètre Vertical.
These stages combine mountain running and heritage, with the crossing of the forts of Briançon, listed as a Unesco World Heritage site.
Since last summer, the French Mountain Running and Trail teams have made Briançon their base camp, and will be returning to train in the spring of 2026 to prepare for the European Championships.
Course details:
-Grand Parcours: Distance: 14 km - Difference in altitude: +1000 m / -1000 m
- Kilomètre vertical: Distance: 6 km - Difference in altitude: +1150 m / -0 m
- Petit parcours: Distance: 7 km - Difference in altitude: +300 m / -300 m
Open to all, with or without a licence.
