Les parfumeries de Seillans were established in 1883 by Charlotte Marie Jeanne, wife of the Marquis de Rostaing, on his lands surrounding the Château du Neïsson. Jean-Michel tells us about the planting of the flowers and the birth of the perfume industry. In 2018, UNESCO inscribed "Perfume-related skills in the Grasse region" on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Until the County of Nice was annexed to the Grasse region in 1860, the Grasse region encompassed a vast territory that included the Pays de Fayence. This visit is part of a tourist discovery program called "Chemins parfumés," created in conjunction with the UNESCO designation of "perfume-related skills." The meeting point will be provided upon registration.
