In 2018, UNESCO inscribed "Perfume-related skills in the Grasse region" on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Until the County of Nice was annexed to the Grasse region in 1860, the Grasse region encompassed a vast territory that included the Pays de Fayence.
This visit is part of a tourist discovery program called "Chemins parfumés," created in conjunction with the UNESCO designation of "perfume-related skills."
