This 2-in-1 tour takes you inside Fort Dauphin. Built in the 18th century, this structure follows the shape of the plateau on which it was built and protects the enormous Trois Têtes fort. The tour continues at the Fort des Trois Têtes, a major structure in the fortified belt around Briançon. The particular history of the fortifications during the Second World War will also be explored.

Access
- On foot: from the upper town, take the path leading from the Pont d'Asfeld bridge, which takes 45 minutes to climb.
By car: from the Rue Centrale, in the heart of the lower town, head towards the Col d'Izoard, passing through the hamlet of Fontchristiane. A few hundred metres further on, turn left at the bend just before the waste centre. Follow the road up through the fortifications. Reach firing range no. 1 on a platform used as a car park, where there is a large concrete and wood hut.
