Elevage Marie Tardieu, Haras des Bruns, 4104 Chemin des bruns Mas-Thibert, 13104 Arles
The Haras des bruns breeds Lusitano thoroughbreds, magnificent horses originally from Portugal.
Raised in the traditional way with bulls, just like in their birthplace. Discover the breeding methods and particularities that make this an exceptional horse.
A remarkable estate between Crau and Camargue, home to the Marais de Coustière, a unique Mediterranean wetland. These areas, mainly used for extensive bull and horse breeding, are essential for maintaining biodiversity. By the way, did you know that the Ribatejo, from which the Lusitano originated, shares many similarities with the Camargue? making them "sister" regions, even going so far as to be nicknamed "the Portuguese Camargue". These similarities stem from their geography and traditions, creating a strong bond between man and nature.
The tour ends with a tasting of Isle Saint Pierre wines and AOP Camargue bull charcuterie.
