Every Wednesday morning, a large Provencal market takes place in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Traders and producers invite you to discover the flavors of the Alpilles and the Rhone Valley.
Lively and colorful, the market of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence takes place in the Place de la République and in the different streets of the historical center. Along the stalls, a real explosion of scents, colors and flavors awaits you: herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables of the sun, olives and oils, cheeses, wines, culinary preparations, honeys and flowers follow one another.
The large Provencal market also hosts stalls selling local crafts, clothing and fashion accessories, household linen, dried lavender, souvenirs and decorative items.
As you walk through the aisles of the Grand Marché Provençal in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, you will be transported to the heart of a Gilbert Bécaud song. The perfumes and colors, the interjections between merchants and customers, the laughter and the bursts of voices, the colorful crowd and the singing accent of the south give to the place a convivial and warm atmosphere which is worth the detour alone.
