Depending on the wind strength, the sea can become rough and show its beautiful wilderness. By east wind, The Almanarre is protected and the shallow waters allow children to enjoy safe swimming [it is always better to swim in monitored areas]. Right on the other side of the "route du sel" (Salt Road) are the former Salt marshes, now a bird reserve, where you can observe Flamingos among many other bird species. While it can be crowded in summer, it retrieves its natural state in the winter...
