The Olivier Pleindoux Aquatic Center is an intergenerational public facility intended for the Châteaurennais population, the surrounding municipalities and passing visitors.
Certified as a Mediterranean Sustainable Building – Silver level, the Olivier Pleindoux Aquatic Center is the first new swimming pool in France to achieve this certification level.
Open all year round, it meets several major objectives:
- Promote learning to swim
- Encourage sports for all ages
- Provide spaces dedicated to well-being and leisure
- Strengthen the territory’s attractiveness
The Olivier Pleindoux Aquatic Center includes:
A sports pool
- Basin of 25 meters
- 5 swimming lanes
- 2 lines equipped with an innovative "Virtual Trainer" system for visual support of swimmers
A pool of activities and relaxation of 180 m 2
- Learning area for swimming
- Aquatic activities: aquagym, aquabike
- Counter-current swimming system
- Massage benches with water jets
Spaces dedicated to families
- A fun paddling pool for the little ones
- An indoor pentagliss with three lanes
- An outdoor splashpad with interactive water games
At the Olivier Pleindoux Aquatic Center, swimming caps are not mandatory for public access users.
Nevertheless, the swimming cap remains mandatory for school groups and leisure centres, in accordance with their hosting regulations.
The shower with soaping is mandatory before accessing the basins.
Swim shorts are prohibited.
