Description

At an altitude of 2761 m, l’Aup Martin pass is the highest point on the GR54 Tour des Ecrins et de l'Oisans. The icy névé that remain until the beginning of spring or the slippery shale can make some stretches difficult.
"It is in the unstable scree around the pass that the two-flowered saxifrage has chosen to grow.  It is a small, rare, pink and white flower, whose petals are spread apart from each other. A very hostile environment for such a small flower! Blandine Delanette, Warden for the Vallouise area. >>>> RECOMMANDATIONS Get information on snow conditions over the pass from la Maison du parc (04 92 23 32 31) or the Vallouise Tourist Office (04 92 23 36 12). If necessary, take cleats to get over the pass. Please do not disturb the work of the shepherd and respect her privacy at the Jas Lacroix pastoral hut.

Is in the midst of the park : The national park is an unrestricted natural area but subjected to regulations which must be known by all visitors.
Herd protection dogs : In mountain pastures, protection dogs are there to protect the herds from predators (wolves, etc.).When I hike I adapt my behavior by going around the herd and pausing for the dog to identify me.Find out more about the actions to adopt with the article "Protection dogs: a context and actions to adopt".Tell us about your meeting by answering this survey.
