Beneath the majestic Séolanes, limestone peaks well known to rock climbers, the route begins gently, climbing a trail that runs alongside a sometimes uncontrollable torrent.
The arrival at the Plan Bas forest house, which once housed forestry workers, marks the real start of the trail that leads hikers from the forest to the peaceful Eaux Tortes, beneath the high peaks of the Trois Évêchés massif.
The descent is along a stony path, which rejoins the trail taken at the start.
