Description

This little chapel trail follows the old mule paths. Discover the rich architectural and religious heritage of the hamlets of Puy-Saint-Pierre and take in the beautiful views over Briançon and the upper Durance valley.
From the Chenogne parking lot, drive down the main road leading to Le Pinet, then turn right into rue du Centre, rue de l'Ecole and rue Saint-Claude, which leads to the Saint-Claude chapel. Go around the chapel to the left and take the path to the left. At the crossroads, follow the mule track on the right to the Saint-Apollonie chapel. Continue for a few metres before dropping down the road on the left: Chemin Belvoir. You'll come to the Saint-Roch chapel. At the turning point, climb to the right along a path that cuts through the twists and turns of the road. At the third junction, go back up the main road for a few metres, cross it (be careful!) and take a small staircase to discover the Saint-Pierre chapel. Continue to the right, then turn left around a barn and climb a few metres. Bend left, then right at the fork, and go straight ahead at the next junction. In Puy-Richard, take the opposite street up to the Saint-Sixt chapel. Take the downhill path on the right to the Puy-Saint-Pierre church. Go downhill on the D135 for 100m, then right on the sentier des Oratoires. At the first fork in the road, fork right and descend to the road; at the second fork in the road, turn right and descend to the hamlet of Rochas Garnier, where a path joins the parking lot.
