PROGRAM OF THE STAY DISCOVERY HIKE IN THE CLARÉE VALLEY : Sunday: Welcome at the hotel in the afternoon and settling in. Monday: Clarée spring and lake On this first day, we're taking you back to the source! From Laval, at the end of the carriage road, the upper valley is revealed, majestic with its surrounding peaks... A magnificent progression along the singing notes of the river to its source: the path stretches along its clear, fast-flowing waters to arrive at the gateway to the Haute Maurienne. Ascent: + and - 400m / Approximate walking time: 3 to 4h Tuesday: Vallon des Thures and Lac Chavillon The Thures mountain pasture is the gateway to the narrow Vallée Nevachaise enclave in Italy. The forest climb gradually leads to a lush, suspended valley, a vast estival pasture for one of the valley's transhumant herds. Crossing the plateau, you come to the lake. A magical viewpoint welcomes you, set against a backdrop of dolomitic mountains and the mythical summit of Le Thabor. Ascent: + and - 600m / Approximate walking time: 4h30 to 5h Wednesday: Lac Laramon and Lac du Serpent Perched at an altitude of 2359 m, Lac Laramon, the jewel of the Hautes Alpes, is without doubt THE postcard of the valley! After this lake, we continue along the gradually rising trail to enjoy the view of the Dôme des Écrins and reach Lac du Serpent. Ascent: + and - 600m / Approximate walking time: 4h30 to 5h Thursday: Refuge and Vallon du Chardonnet The climb from Foncouverte is fairly steep, then eases a little before arriving at the refuge du Chardonnet, nestled in lush green surroundings that invite you to take a break. Shortly after the refuge we reach the Lac du Chardonnet and the Lac du Châtelard, marking the entrance to the magnificent Chardonnet valley. Ascent: + and - 500m / Approximate walking time: 3h30 to 4h30 Friday: Lac Long and Lac Rond des Muandes Between mountain streams, rhododendrons and alpine flora, this not-to-be-missed Haute Clarée loop takes in two lakes nestled at the end of the world, offering breathtaking views of the Cerces massif. Altitude gain: + and - 450 / Approximate walking time: 3h30 to 4 h Saturday: Tour ends after breakfast. DIFFICULTY LEVEL : 2* OUT OF 5* 3 to 5 hours of walking per day. Mountain routes with elevation differences of 300 to 600 meters uphill and/or downhill. Backpack: you carry your day’s belongings and a picnic. Provide an airtight box (type Tupperware) and cutlery and a cup for picnics. Deposit of 50% requested at the reservation
