Stay A soup with wild herbs - L'Échaillon

You love the mountains, you love to walk and marvel at the beauty of the landscape, fauna and especially flora. You want to go with a guide who will help you recognize and identify the vegetation, during hikes oriented on observation and sharing knowledge. The objective of this stay is to walk to meet flowers and plants, the days are punctuated by stops and discussions around specimens encountered. Flowers will be in the spotlight and edible plants too, since we will do a little picking and cooking preparation based on what we have gleaned. Day 1: Welcome Reception at the hotel** l'Echaillon in the afternoon. Installation. Information meeting at 7pm with your guide, presentation of the week. Day 2: Right bank of the Clarée A very simple walk in the undergrowth, along the Clarée, but of such richness: martagon lily, pulsatilles, geraniums, saxifrages, seal of Solomon and other unknown liliaceae, gesses and innumerable vesses... A day of getting ready and wonder! Day 3: Vallon des Muandes Transfer to Laval, at the end of the high valley road (25 minutes). We go up towards the lakes of Muandes (long lake and round lake) to descend then along the Torrent de Brune and Clarée. A walk between wetlands and alpine meadows. The stars of the day, according to the progress of the season, are the lily of Saint-Bruno, the centaureas, the arnica and the rhododendron, but also, among the trees, the pine, of which we will see beautiful representatives. Day 4: Morning picking, small balcony in the afternoon In the morning, just around the hotel, we will go to make a pick in tribute to our local celebrity: Emilie Carles, who wrote the famous soup with wild herbs. Together, we will prepare in the kitchen lunch for an immediate tasting! In the afternoon, we leave for a small loop on the balcony of Névache, which allows us to discover a very beautiful path and the flora that appreciates the sunny rocky slopes: centranthe, phalangère, buphthalme... Day 5: Etroite Valley and the Green Lake Today we will visit the nearby valley, the narrow valley - the little sister of the Clarée (30 minutes by minibus). , to find the incredible "lago verde" and walk through the meadows very flowered before the cows come to feed them! Day 6: Today, we go in search of the Clove of Venus, in the woods that she loves. It lives in several areas in our valley, with slightly offset blooms that allow us to see it throughout the month of June. We will then go picnicking in the high valley and make a beautiful bucolic loop along the Clarée between the hamlets of Rif Tord, Laval and Jadis. End of stay around 16/17 hours depending on the return time of each. Level : Hiker level 2 on a scale of 5 : - 3 to 4 h of effective walking per day. - Mountain itinerary with ascents and/or descents of 400 to 600 meters. - Rucksack: you carry your gear for the day and a picnic.
