The remarkable diversity of their soils, composed of slate, gravel, limestone, flint and marl, gives each its own unique character. A Mediterranean climate, gently sloping hillsides, nearby garrigue and plots demarcated by dry-stone walls are the hallmarks of Costes-Cirgues wines and olive oil.
