Winemaking has continued here for generations, from the earliest ancestor, Pierre Joseph Grangeon, then with Jean-Marie and Simone Grangeon. We grow Grenache and Syrah grapes on rolled pebbles that are typical of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation area.
For 5 centuries, the estate belonged to a family of Provençal nobility. During this period, the property consisted of vineyards, forest, rich farm land and a source providing water to the property.
In 1841 the GRANGEON family became the owners of Domaine De La Palud. Winemaking has continued here for generations. Thanks to our ancestor, Pierre-Joseph GRANGEON, then Jean-Marie and Simone GRANGEON, the land is planted with Grenache and Syrah grapes on rolled pebbles that are typical of the Châteauneuf du Pape area.
Today, Marie-Laure GRANGEON and her daughter Céline have taken up the reins, developing new grape varieties and putting the first wines into bottles.
