Within the preserved framework of a country house of the XVII °s, you will meet the trade of olive grower; traversing the orchard, and discovering the processes of extraction of oil. A tasting of the various products, resulting from family manufacture,...

With the Mill of Esquirol, family exploitation located at Pradet, small sheltered coastal commune of hills, an olive grower is happy to accommodate you to make you discover his trade. Within the preserved framework of a country house of the XVII° century, combining tradition and modernity, an orchard of 2000 trees feeds chains of continuous extraction, which produces oils AOC Provence of great quality, and of which the traceability is total. The guided tour will allow you, one hour during, of going to the meeting of the olive-tree, tree of peace in charge of history. First of all the olive grove; composed of a young orchard, and tercentenary trees… The various varieties, the culture of the tree and the care to bring to him to the rate/rhythm seasons, and in the respect of the environment will be approached there… and then it will be the discovery of the workshop, after which harvest and transformation will have delivered all their secrecies… The free tasting of the products, resulting exclusively from olives of our orchard, enables you to compare very different oils, according to the varieties and their maturity at the time of harvest; but also of olives of mouth, and the olive pastes. If the heart of said to you, you will be able with complete freedom to prolong this moment privileged by a walk between the trees, and to pass to the shop to bring back a little sun on your premise.

We try to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. Unfortunately, we can't be organic, but we do use sustainable agriculture and always try to give back to the earth what we have taken from it. We use crushed olive stones to fuel our boiler in winter (biomass fuel), practice selective sorting, try to reuse raw materials as much as possible, etc.
