The Vignobles & Découvertes label

guaranteed quality for keen wine-tourists

Created in 2009 by the ministers in charge of tourism and agriculture, the “Vignobles & Découvertes” label aims at promoting tourism on the theme of wine and the vine. It enables visitors to organise their stay better and orients them on qualified and quality accommodation, catering services and even visits… The label is awarded to the destinations for three years and must be renewed after this period expires.

What exactly is the Vignobles & Découvertes label?

The Vignobles & Découvertes label is a collected brand managed by Atout France, in line  with the Conseil Supérieur de l’Œnotourisme. It rewards tourist and wine-growing destinations for the quality of their offer over a period of three years. Several criteria are included in this evaluation, such as the quality of the accommodation, catering, events and tastings and also the interest in visiting its cellars and museums, if they have one. The aim of the label is thus to give added value to the qualitative products on the market of wine tourism, taking into consideration the new expectations and practices of its clientele.
