Topo: Carte IGN 3536 OT3436 et 3535
Start point: Chambran chalets at 1700 m
Access: From Briançon, take the RN94 towards Gap.
After driving through Prelles, turn right onto the D4 that leads to Les Vigneaux. This road is known as "Les Traverses". From Le Sarret, in Pelvoux a road heads up to the Chambran chalets (district flocks) where you should park.
Marking: From the Chambran chalets, the footpath leads to the Eychauda lake. Take the forestry path after the refreshment bar on the left bank of the Eychauda stream. Pass the path that climbs to the right and take the path towards the pastures after the hut. The path climbs and zigzags through a zone of shingle then in the pastures. The lake is magnificent...it is one of the largest in the Briançon area.
