- Walking route: from the Pré de Mme Carle (end of spring and summer)... go in the same direction as for the Glacier Blanc refuge, then follow the path to the west, and take a foothold on the glacier and head up to refuge on the rocky headland. Beware, depending on the ice conditions and your abilities on the glacier, it is advisable to stay on the path with the white marking that continues up the moraine and stops on the flattest part of the glacier. You will then need to climb up the glacier a short time to just below the headland where the refuge is.
