The resort of La Colmiane is located in the town of Valdeblore, in the Alpes Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. It is only one hour drive away from Nice and the coast, between the Tinée valley and the Vésubie valley, at the gates of the Mercantour National Park. La Colmiane offers an exceptional setting both in summer and winter. In summer, the resort becomes a heaven for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts. Skiing and other winter sports in La Colmiane resort

The ski area of La Colmiane extends over nearly 30 kilometers. Green, blue, red and black alpine ski slopes are accessible thanks to the ski lifts and the Pic chairlift. The slopes meander between steep slopes, hilly areas and flat areas at an altitude between 1,400 and 1,800 meters. The summit of the Pic de la Colmiane is located at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Beginners and experienced skiers will enjoy the ski area. If you wish, you can take private or group lessons at La Colmiane ESF (French Ski School). The School offers ski or snowboard lessons. The Piou Piou club, will welcome your kids for a fun time sledding.

In winter in La Colmiane, you can also enjoy other activities such as mountaineering and ice climbing. You can also try new winter sports such as skijoëring that can be described as alpine skiing pooled by a horse. You can do this on your own or share this a unique experience with a partner. You will then be able to reach the farm, see the animals and taste the local products.

You can also try summer sledding. You will be installed on a monorail and equipped with a brake and a safety belt. Kids and adults will enjoy this fun activity.

It is also the perfect place to practice mountain biking on the different tracks and especially the ones you can reach from the Pic chairlift. In the tourist region of La Colmiane, there are also climbing sites with different routes for different levels such as Les Calanques, Millefonts, La Roche and the Vallon du Vernet.
