The geological reserve
Haute-Provence was once the bottom of an ocean, which was raised when the Alps were created. Numerous fossils bear witness to this past and are the subject of a classification by UNESCO, as well as protection as part of a Geological Reserve. Discover remarkable sites and admire fossils more than 300 million years old.
