Le Verdon
Known all over the world, the landscapes of the Verdon were born from the meeting of the Verdon river, the limestone rock and the azure sky of Provence. The landscapes are at the same time grandiose and wild: vertiginous valleys or wide agricultural valleys, forests? The Park attracts nature lovers. Numerous itineraries of all levels have been developed for hiking enthusiasts. You can also take to the roads of the Verdon by bike, learning to climb, go down the Verdon by kayak or go horse riding… The authentic villages and the heritage of the Park also seduce the vacationers: historical milestones, bread ovens, wells, wash houses, medieval castles, oppidums… Producers in love with their land continue to keep a traditional know-how alive. Markets and grocery stores will introduce you to local flavors: honey, gingerbread, goat’s cheese, lamb meat, fruit and vegetables, farm produce, olives, olive oil, liqueurs, lavender extracts…
