The Verdon Natural Park
From the meeting between a river, the Verdon, a soft rock and the azure of Provence was born the Verdon. The landscapes here are grandiose and wild: cultivated valleys, clearings, forests, steep-sided valleys? The Park meets the expectations of lovers of outdoor activities. Hiking enthusiasts will be able to crisscross the trails. You can also ride your mountain bike along the paths of the Park, try your hand at rock climbing, via ferrata or tree climbing, or even try your hand at paragliding… You can also set off to discover a historic heritage of sober elegance: fountains, wash houses, wells, chapels, churches, oratories, historic milestones, oil mills, irrigation canals, dovecotes, bridges, medieval castles… The heritage of the Verdon also awaits you in the plate. Village grocery stores and markets will introduce you to local flavors: gingerbread, honey, mountain cheese, lamb meat, vegetables, fruit, olive products (oil and pasta)…
Museums in the Var department
As a nature destination, the department must also be seen as a cultural destination. Numerous museums open their doors to you on the Coast or in Provence Verte, such as the museum of the historical figurine and the old toy of the Val, the historical museum of the centre-Var au Luc, the regional House of water of Barjols…
